Comprehensive Eye Examination
A complete, unhurried check of your vision and the health of your eyes, the foundation of everything we do.
A closer look at your care.
A comprehensive eye examination is far more than reading letters on a chart. It is a careful, methodical look at how well you see and how healthy your eyes are, inside and out. Many serious conditions, from glaucoma to diabetic changes, develop quietly with no early symptoms, and a full examination is the single best way to catch them in time.
At Aadithya Eye Care, every examination is unhurried. We test your vision, measure the pressure inside your eye, and examine the front and back of the eye in detail, then explain clearly what we find and what, if anything, it means for you.
What your examination includes
Vision & refraction
Accurate testing of your distance and near vision, and a precise spectacle prescription if you need one.
Eye-pressure check
Measurement of intraocular pressure to screen for glaucoma, a leading and silent cause of sight loss.
Front-of-eye examination
A magnified slit-lamp look at the eyelids, cornea, iris and lens to spot dryness, cataract and infection.
Retina & optic nerve
A dilated look at the back of the eye to check the retina, macula and optic nerve where many diseases begin.

Questions, answered.
Most adults benefit from a full examination every one to two years. If you have diabetes, glaucoma in the family, or are over forty, we may suggest checking more often.
Often yes. Dilating drops let us see the retina clearly. Your vision may stay blurry and light-sensitive for a few hours, so it helps to bring sunglasses and avoid driving straight after.
A thorough examination usually takes around thirty to forty-five minutes, longer if dilation or extra tests are needed.
