Glaucoma Care
Early detection and lifelong control of the silent pressure that can quietly steal sight if it is left unchecked.
A closer look at your care.
Glaucoma is a group of conditions that damage the optic nerve, usually linked to raised pressure inside the eye. It is dangerous precisely because it is silent; vision is lost so gradually, from the edges inward, that many people do not notice until a great deal has already gone. Sight lost to glaucoma cannot be recovered, but with early detection it can almost always be protected.
Our glaucoma care centres on catching it early and then controlling it steadily over time, with accurate pressure checks, optic-nerve assessment and visual-field testing, followed by treatment with drops, laser or surgery where needed.
How we protect your sight
Accurate pressure testing
Reliable measurement of the pressure inside your eye, the key risk factor we can treat.
Optic-nerve & field testing
Imaging and visual-field tests reveal early nerve damage long before you would notice it.
Steady long-term control
A clear treatment plan with drops, laser or surgery, reviewed regularly to keep pressure safe.

- Those with diabetes, high short-sight or long-term steroid use
- Anyone noticing patchy or narrowing side vision (often a late sign)
Simple, clear and unhurried.
Detection
Pressure checks, optic-nerve imaging and visual-field testing establish whether glaucoma is present.
Treatment
Drops, laser or surgery are chosen to lower pressure to a level that protects your nerve.
Monitoring
Regular reviews track your pressure and fields so treatment stays one step ahead.
Questions, answered.
Glaucoma cannot be reversed, but it can be controlled very effectively. The goal of treatment is to stop further damage and protect the vision you have.
Often yes. Daily drops are the most common treatment and work best when used consistently. Some people benefit from laser or surgery to reduce reliance on drops.
It can run in families. If a close relative has glaucoma, your risk is higher and regular screening from around the age of forty is strongly advised.
